Eleanor Lindsey Portfolio

Hello
I am a graduating costume design and construction student who has a deep passion for craftsmanship, community and storytelling through the use of fabric and thread. With a strong foundation in sewing and garment construction, I take pride in creating high-quality, detail- focussed costumes that not only look the part but are built to last. My work often explores the connection between costume and character, with a particular interest in how design can reflect and emphasise stories and the communities represented.

About Me

As someone who values reliability, attention to detail, and hands-on involvement, I approach every project with dedication, from the first sketch to the final stitch. Whether designing or making, I strive to create work that is both thoughtful and impactful.
During university, I built a strong foundation in design, specialising in millinery and pattern making. My work merges creativity with technical precision, from blocking headwear to drafting and adapting patterns for diverse silhouettes.
I’ve explored a wide range of construction techniques, including draping, fabric manipulation, and hand-finishing. This portfolio showcases my ability to transform ideas into refined, wearable pieces that combine structure with artistic flair.
