James and the Giant Peach
University Construction Project

In the Element 2 project, I used shape, form, and structure to create layered meanings with my designs inspired by 1940s fashion and WWII roles. I aimed to spark curiosity and encourage audiences to form their own interpretations.
Ladybird, inspired by Roald Dahl’s life, is a nurturing, nurse-like figure James meets in the peach. Reflecting Dahl’s WWII experiences, she embodies care and comfort, symbolised through the neatness and precision of sewing.

Dick Whittington Pantomime
University Construction Project

The pantomime dame costume was made from recycled clothing, combining playful design with sustainability. Interactive cut-outs and details like sweet wrappers add texture, colour, and humour, bringing the character to life through imaginative, eco-conscious creativity.
Sarah the Cook, the bold pantomime dame, appears in this Act 1, Scene 3, with the look inspired by Salisbury’s historic Charter Market. Loud, extravagant, and full of energy, she’s a comedic character who’s always ready with a joke
