Pinocchio

Forest Forge Theatre Company

I Spent several days designing and constructing Pinocchio hats and donkey ears, along with altering various costumes to ensure a comfortable and consistent fit across multiple performers.

I paid close attention to durability and practicality, creating pieces that allowed for quick on-stage costume changes and could be easily put on, removed, and managed by cast members during performances.

While also collaborating with the production team to ensure all costume elements met the needs of the show and functioned smoothly in a live performance setting.

A Small Hotel

Royal Theatre Bath

Across September and October 2025, I was lucky enough to work alongside Costume Supervisor Eleanor Dolan on A Small Hotel by Rebecca Lenkiewicz.

During my time with the production, I took on a variety of roles within the costume department from making alterations and assisting with fittings to sourcing clothing for performances and creating plenty of blood-stained shirts!

It was an amazing experience working with the talented team at Theatre Royal Bath, where I gained valuable insights into the behind-the-scenes world of theatre during both technical rehearsals and live performances.

Circus Hub Notts

Work Experience

During my sewing placement with a circus group, I helped make and alter 17 costumes, ensuring they were performance-ready and tailored to each artist.

Working closely with performers, I adapted costumes for comfort, movement, and durability, adding paint, sequins, and appliqué for texture and individuality. This experience strengthened my technical skills, creativity, and ability to work under pressure.

Designers: Ruier Li and Jieru Sun
